This piece is based of my work with youth in an after-school program.

This painting is based off of a photograph I took as a teenager. The young boy and I were in the same literary group for children of Afrikan descent.

I was inspired to create this piece after reading "I Can See Clearly Now" by Wayne Dyer. It was his autobiography.

There used to be a mannequin in the art room at my college, Culver-Stockton. She was about six feet tall and stood in the middle of the room. One day, she toppled over. Her arms, legs and head fell off. They made her into a bust and wrapped an American flag around her.
