January 2018 Review and Accomplishments

Hair, waffle and ice cream, Carondolet Park, Chase Park Plaza

January 2018 began in in interesting way. I did my best to see how my goals could fit in with my work schedule and it was quite a challenge, but I managed to get some actions done while still having fun.

So here is a list of the achievements and happenings for the month of January 2018:

I Had My First Program

I ran a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Trivia program at work. It was a challenge for me because I didn't know if I had enough material to work with. But it ended up being successful. I made a Powerpoint presentation, made a book display and coloring table. I couldn't have done it without the help of my coworkers and managers.

I Made 13 Products for My Online Store

My goal was to reach 31 products for the month of January. But I did not manage my time wisely when it came to my online store, so I did not make as many products. However, I made some sales so that was an accomplishment!

I Wrote Five Blog Posts

I don't even know how I found time to write one blog post, but five was a good start.

I Took Myself Out on Dates

I decided at the beginning of the month that I was going to get out more. I decided to visit new places and revisit old places that I loved. I revisited Carondolet Park. The lake was frozen over and the ducks and geese were sliding across the ice. Half of a duck was stuck upside down in the ice (God rest her soul). I took myself out to the movies too. I saw the movie "The Greatest Showman" at the Chase Park Plaza. I had never been to the Chase before but I had heard of it for years. I had a beautiful time. I also took myself out for quick bites to eat. There was a waffle and ice cream place in Maplewood that lured me in by the scent of waffles. I can't say no to ice cream and I definitely cannot deny a waffle.

I Changed Up My Hair Game

I had been daydreaming for several months how my hair would look in curls. I wanted to have my hair curled but I didn't make the time for it. Luckily, one of my beauticians decided to test a hairstyle on me for an event she was having. She gave me the curls I had always imagined in my mind. I loved my curls! I felt so elegant and classy. I felt like I needed to wear a party dress and serve people lemon cake on a silver tray.

Now that I have gotten into the beginning rhythms of the year, I am looking forward to what February 2018 will bring!
